A new cat colony room

Oakville Milton Humane Society

The Oakville & Milton Humane Society has space for about 200 animals who come to them because their owners can no longer care for them, or because they are lost, abandoned or abused.

Throughout the years, the Oakville & Milton Humane Society has retained its primary mission of addressing animal welfare issues as well as providing food, shelter and care for the many stray and unwanted pets in their community.

The Gordon and Patricia Gray Animal Welfare Foundation funded a new Cat Colony Room for the cats in the care of OMHS. This converted adoption room, previously filled with cages, allows the cats to roam freely throughout the day, climb cat trees, play and sleep in beds.
