Bear Creek Exotic Wildlife Sanctuary in Barrie, Ontario, Canada, was founded in 1989 by Werner Ebner. For many of the animals, Bear Creek was the last resort prior to euthanasia.

The Gordon and Patricia Gray Animal Welfare Foundation helps Bear Creek to rehabilitate and provide a safe haven for unwanted, abused and injured exotic and zoo surplus animals, and for injured or orphaned indigenous wildlife.
