Equine hospital upgrades

The funding Helen Woodward Animal Center received from the Gordon and Patricia Gray Animal Welfare Foundation was for our Equine Hospital. Specifically, for new flooring and essential arthroscopy equipment.

The mission of the hospital is to provide an exceptional facility for the use of accredited veterinarians, enabling them to provide high-quality veterinary care for the health and welfare of the community horse population and to provide a resource for education of the public and equine professionals in matters of the health and welfare of horses. The hospital is equipped to perform a wide variety of medical procedures and services such as colic, fracture, and other surgeries, dental care, 24 hour nursing care, and more.

The new flooring will ensure we can continue to provide a safe and sanitary facility, while the arthroscopy equipment allows veterinarians to evaluate and treat many orthopedic conditions in a minimally invasive way.
